Need pros and cons before I spend this kind of money. Whoever knows, please
help.

I and my fishing buddy both have Daiwa Interline rods . I own 3 the heavy (100
lb ) model the 15-40 lb model, both are the black SLX models and I own the
Interline spinning rod..and I/we could not be happier. We have fished them in
Loreto, East Cape, Cabo and Kona and we never break any guides in travel! We
rinse them in the shower every nite , as we do all our tackle, and thats all
the maintenance they have required. They are MORE sensitive for the bite than
any other rods, as the linneand rod work together to let you feel everything
thats going on. We have used mono as well as Sprectra/Dyneema lines and have no
tip wraps that occours on reg. rods with spectra. Yes you could say we are
happy customers

We tried them with an 80# topshot and a 200# wind-on leader held together with
a Dacron splice. We had a lot of problems with the splice hanging up at the
tip. I would not recommend the rod if you plan to use splices or wind-on
leaders. We sent ours back and replaced them with conventional rods...
