This has to be ESP or something at work here . . .
I haven't looked in here for a dog's age and then today I wonder about
an old post so I do a Google Groups search on ROFF and wayno's post is
at the top of the list. Karma?
Anyway, here I am -- even had to download Thunderbird so I could
actually post something.
Peter
Well, post away you Canuckastanian! d;o)
Jo and I bought a home in the mountains of north Georgia. You and Suz
will have to visit - winter time only. We'll have to start yet another
"Peter Charles Suite".
Good to "see" ya.
Dave
Dave,
My uncle used to live on Walnut Mountain in Ellijay, GA. Beautiful
country, I'm sure you'll enjoy living there.
used one of those long streamers on a wetfly hook a few weeks back to snag a
dandy Penn's brown.
good to hear from you,
Tom

Yeah! Ellijay is a couple of mountains west of us. You're right, it
is beautiful. I'm sort of familiar with the area - Joanne used to live
in Gainsville - so I know a few good places to fish.
It will be our fall/winter/spring home. Gotta come back to
Taxachusetts in May so I can fish the Rapid. d;o)
Dave
Good to see you here again, Peter!

Well as I live and breath - Peter Charles! How the hell are you? Hope things
are well. Here's hoping you manage to stick around for a while - granted, ROFF
has always been, well, ROFF, but hey, that's why it's ROFF...
As an aside, you seem to have USENET covered, but if there is an issue re:
access, several of us in the US have started using (the old) Motzarella.org, now
eternal-september.org, usenet service - it's free and all you have to do is sign
up. Many of the "biggie" ISPs in the US have dropped their news servers - I
have no idea about Canada - and traffic is down is most usenet groups like ROFF,
but there are a few of us still here. Look at as a positive - you'll not have
to schlog through 100's of posts a day anymore...
Cheers,
R
Richard, great to see the old gang is still hanging in here. Yup, life
is good, fishing could always be better. My local ISP still runs a news
server so I'm good for now.
Tom, you should try a Weamer on those Penns browns. ;) Speaking of
which, I should get down there next May.
Frank, any time man. Just drop me an email. Two-handing a fly rod is a
disease by the way and there's no known cure. Sorry. Lee Davidson is
quite the gentleman. I'm sure you had a great time at the class,
wiggling the big stick.
Peter
Jo asks, "Has he retired yet?"
Dave
so I do a Google Groups search on ROFF and wayno's post is
> at the top of the list. Karma?
might just be so; if true, it's good karma.
just want you to know i still have those really spiffy miniature streamers
you tied for me. they are too damn pretty to fish.
maybe we could descend upon ol' louie in the early spring. we'll teach him
to toss out invitations in such a cavalier fashion...

Hey, come on. Just be sure to bring your own booze and woman. And,
sign the wall along with 5 other roffians.
Yeah, I'm already casting for carp. Haven't hooked one yet, but love
playing with the rod and seeing how far I can shoot the line.
Frank
And speaking of "cavalier" - where's Wayne Knight...?
TC,
R
there is a fine piece of news!! Pack your raingear, of course<g>
Tom
Not retired yet -- another year and a bit to go.
Peter
Hey, once I hit retirement, you know where all those snowbirds head.
Just have to make a stop in Georgia, eh?
I've changed computors - now on a Macbook Pro 17. Unfortunately I did
not bring along old email addresses. d;o(
Jo says hi.
Dave
On its way
So you went over to the dark side too eh? Both us have been "Mac'ed"
Say hi to Jo for me and my Jo.
