Happy New Year to you and Rachel, and give the dog a hug.

We've got about 3 inch of new snow and more to come. Gonna be some bad

I wouldn't worry too much. I am sure the people he works for have lots
of recordings they can piece together from his "hill billy heroin"
induced rants. And if the Prince of Darkness calls Rush home, you will
always have Mike Savage and his thinly coded calls for a race war of
extermination to provide your stiffies.

Since you are into Rush maybe you can help out here: Considering the
amount of drinking and heavy drug use, the bizarre difficulty Rush has
had with domestic relationships and his difficulties with the law
concerning controlled substances, etc, how do you feel these
picadillos effect his thought processes? Do you feel the massive use
of Oxycontin, Vicodin/hydrocodone etc, enhances his logic? Do you feel
his difficulties in exercising self control (drinking, druggin,
smokin, gluttony etc) enhance his compassionate responses? (Does Rush
have a favorite charity? Some sort of religious commitment? Some
extended family members he supports?)

There is probably so much on the human side of Rush I just may have
missed. How about sharing some of your insights on how Rush supports
and lives the "family values" lifestyle?

Dave
I suspect he will die like many of the mercenary Rightwing whacks do,
who on their deathbeds beg for forgiveness for all the damage they
did. And if he survives? Well I suspect he will then try to pull off a
Charles Colson "born again" act, and join up with "3rd wave
evangelism" and the "Dominionists" who are actively working to
overthrow the Constitution, elect Sara Palin and re-criminalize
homosexuality, and extirpate non-born again religion. Examples anyone?

Probably won't happen. But he lived that way.....that should be
enough.

Comes a time when affordability is moot. Sometimes it comes soon,
sometimes late, but it comes to all. In any case, what a fitting end
to the old year, eh?......once in a blue moon.

As I just posted to someone on a local Progessive site:
If you think like that, you're just a bad as the folks you whine about. In
other words, you've become one of them.

Revenge or seeing someone who you believe is a bad person, get their just
desserts
is like keeping them alive & well in your mind and on your consience.
You are correct in your conclusion that we can become like the trangressor
or no better - for that moment
But revenge is sweet and bitter

Regarding Rush He is a POS
Good riddance!
As far as I am concerned he is a cardboard joke that already entered and was
dismissed by my mind on any level
So whatever he does - fall off the planet or whatever , it is not relevant
to my existence.

We live in a strange time. Some things haven't change much, I think.
Just about everybody still believes that evil of one sort or another
still exists in the world. And most seem to believe as well that
there are just plain evil people in the world. But, and this strikes
me as very odd, most of the people I've spoken to about it, or heard
speak about it, or whose works I've read, appear to believe that evil
and evil people are always monstrous and monstrously large. In other
words, what has, throughout history, been observed to be and described
as small scale evil no longer seems to register as such for most
folkls. Small scale evil is apparently seen as something else. Just
what else is hard to say because no one articulates it very
well.....if at all.

Be that as it may, small scale evil DOES still exist, as do small evil
people. Rush Limbaugh is such a person (think globally.....if Barrack
Obama is a complete enigma to most of the planet, as has been asserted
here by a widely recognized, if self-declared and delusional,
authority on everything, then what are we to think of Mr. Limbaugh?).
Everybody who is familiar with him knows it. His fans know
it.....hell, has ANYONE ever given them a reason to doubt it? They
just think it's fun and clever to not give a fuck about humanity (as
well as the rest of the planet) because their half-witted friends
appear to think so.....and tell them so. Meanwhile, even the half-
wits (in those rare moments when they can be distracted from admiring
their own drool) will grudgingly admit that evil is not a good thing
to have around. Thus, we have nearly universal agreement (except,
generally, among evil people......and even they will usually agree
that most OTHER evil people should be eliminated) that evil people
should, in one way or another, be rendered extinct. So far, so
good......we have something like a consensus.

But, how to make it happen? Well, the obvious methods are out of the
question because pretty much everywhere on the planet they are
unlawful. Guess who makes the laws. Go on......take your time. So,
what are we left with? Well, common sense (which is not nearly so
uncommon as the half-wits continually remind us that it is......and
how's THAT for irony?) suggests that *IF* being evil necessarily and
inevitably resulted in an excruciatingly lingering and stunningly
painful death, most people (even most stupid people) would get the
hint and refrain from being evil. Simple.

Simple, but ineffective. The problem is that *IF* posited above.
Being evil does NOT necessarily and inevitably result in an
excruciatningl lingering and stunningly painful death. Nevertheless,
the logical train is tight and unassailable. And thus, anyone wishing
Rush Limbaugh (or any and/or all of the many millions like him) a slow
and painful death are manifestly NOT just like him......they are NOT
no better than him.....they are in fact, humanists with an eye for the
betterment of the planet and all its inhabitants, human or otherwise.
Well, some of us are, anyway.

> But revenge is sweet and bitter

Well, I've not savored it much in my life. I'll bow to your judgment
as to its flavor.

> Regarding Rush  He is a POS

News flash!!

I haven't been watching the news. Are we rid?

Um......

And yet.....

Not that it matters much, but do you have any idea of who you are?
