can we please create this newsgroup ? it sure seems like it would be
fun and it would make accessible a whole new line of dubbing materials.

>Howdy,
You might have something here, Tim, but dubbing isn't what's going to sell
it. There are plenty of commercial sources for beaver already. It's cheap,
and the colors are more varied.

Tim,
I don't think too many of us, still tie flies in the nude! I gave it a
try for a while(in the 60's, when I was still into HEAVY drugs.) ;but I
kept dropping my sissors. Trust me, those little points are SHARP!!! To
stop this problem, I had to purchase those safety sissors..kids use.
They are terrible for trimming hackle and shaping wings, so I went back
to wearing pants, and my flies are again..beautiful. I was also capable
of having children. I found kids to be a good source of dubbing; after
they woof down some carmel popcorn and pet the cat, I scrape their
little paws(the Kids) and use it in my carmel cat nymph patterns..LOOK
at the beggining of the post..I did Heavy drugs in the 60's.
Wait a second ..Tim Walker ..name rings a bell..Didn't I meet you at a
"Save the Lobster-- PETA Rally"?
[Of course..you'all know..this is a joke..I saw Mr. "I'm never going to
post on ROFFT" Walker's post..and couldn't pass up a clean shot.]
I guess I'm just a Baddddddddd person..at least, I didn't try to sell
you anything...........
Edward Meese..(No really, I'm just using a friends computer account)

I assume you're talking about tying the special "Nude" fly. I maintain a broad
selection of these flies in all sizes. Just mount the hook in the vise and one
dab of head cement and you're done! Its important to vary the position of the
cement along the hook shank to change the "action" of the fly.
Materials:
1. hooks 1X-6X straight shank #10-#22
2. head cement
A variant uses flexament but that is another fly altogether.
Cheers.
