Going to fish Georgetown for the next 2-3 weeks. I have read the guides
regarding damsels, Callibaetis, etc. but the person I am fishing with has
always fished it in the Fall. Any tips for this July time period would be
much appreciated.

Regards,

Fred

I've fished Georgetown in the summer and done well with damsel nymphs
around the weedbeds along the shore in the mornings.

Midday, we did best working leeches and buggers from a boat fishing
towards shore at a medium depth...look for areas where there is shadow
on the water. We used sinktip lines, but a floater with a sufficiently
long leader would likely get you deep enough.

It'a a tough lake...lots of the locals do a lot of trolling fairly deep
in the summer and bring up some BIG fish.... my first trip there was in
the summer of 1965 and I landed a half dozen browns over 26" on flies
there, mostly streamers and one on a BIG Royal Wulff.
