Grandkids And Fishing: How Young ?

Hi,

All kids are different, of course, but was wondering about your
experience with Grandkids:

How young can they be, and still enjoy some introductory fishing
experiences ?

Hints ?

Can hardly wait.

If they will let you hold the rod when they reel it their old enough.
Or a cane pole with a barbless hook!

Mine were 4 and five.

AS soon as they say they want to go
The number one trick, is to put them on fish, lots of fish, sunfish are
the best and size don't matter

All mine started by 3 or sooner

Grandkids And Fishing: How Young ?

Strictly an individual thing, I think. I have 4 sons, 2 daughters, 3
grandsons, 1 grandaughter, all were, and are, different. A couple loved
fishing, the others were into different activities. I took most of em
fishing when they were 4-5 years old. You will know if they are ready,
the ones that would rather throw rocks in the water, will probably get
into baseball instead. :). Good luck and enjoy the moments...they will
become precious memories!

Yep,

Brem will strike at almost anything; Worms, Crickets, Shiners, small
plastic lures.....And RatTrap pieces of JUNK!!!!
