Hi,

I was watching the boob tube an it said it was very cheap to vacation
in:

Arkansas
Oklahoma
North and South Dakota
Kansas

Now, which one has the best all around fishing with the emphasis on our
friend the bass ?

I've never been to any of them so this should be fun !

TIA,

Sean in Connecticut

None of the above. IMHO Texas, California, Alabama and Florida have a
better lunker bass reputation. If I was going to travel from Conn to
anywhere, I'd go to Lake Fork Texas, hire me a guide, load up that boat
with adult beverages and HOLD ON! <g>
Tight Lines!

I guess I would agree with John here. If you go there, Lake Fork, hire
Sherry Ruslink, she is a sweetheart and a great guide. Her website is listed
on mine which you can access through my signature below.

If not then try Greers Ferry Lake in north central Arkansas. It will be
fairly cheep to do and is a great fishery. Well not great but very
beautiful. I go there often and plan to retire there in a few years. They
have a marina there in Fairfield Bay and there is a crippled guy that guides
out of there by the name of Kenny. He is a real nice fellow and should be
able to put you on fish.

Ranger Boats, Lowrance Electronics, Berkley Trilene, Rippler,
Bill Norman Lures, and Aqua-Vu underwater cameras.
I use them because I think they're the best!

Hi Rick, John,

Thanks so much. I would imagine it will be Texas then !!

And then I have to go see Steve Huber in Wisconsin...for muskies.

I appreciate all the great advice (as usual this is a great group)

Good luck to all,

Sean

And when you do come, I'll teach you how to cast a Curado reel, nudge nudge,
wink, wink :)

I am probably biased to my state, Oklahoma, but my home lake is
Sportsmans lake. It's only about 15 miles from here, so that's where
I'd probably fish even if it wasn't so good. I've read a lot of places
online from national publications, that one of the next world records is
coming from one of four lakes in the US, one of which being sportsmans.
I have a lot of fun fishing there, it's not a very old lake, but they
say it's "prime." Just an idea, there are a lot of places I'd like to
go, but I just can't imagine a better place to fish in the states you
mentioned.
