I have a 26Ft. fifth wheel that I plan to sell. Where can I determine its
market value?

I checked out the local newspapers and went to see some like the one I was
going to sell. I went to RV lots. I set it on the front lawn with an
elaborate brochure. I called back to see what prices people got from there
motorhomes. Then I traded it in for the new motorhome because of the tax
consequences (the used price came off the new and caused a lowering of the
sales tax). If you're planning on getting a new car, I've heard of people
trading their RVs in to the car dealership once the person trading it
arranged for a local RV dealership to broker it.

For the what it's worth department Bill, go to the NADA website and look up
your 5th wheel keeping in mind that dealer prices are NOT NADA prices!
The best place to go is to your local library and look it up in the printed
edition of the NADA book. I have found that the web listing is always more
than the printed edition. Don't know why but that's been my experience.

Also if you go to a dealer, expect him to give you a figure that no-one in
their right mind would be willing to pay from a private individual.

If you do take the NADA value, you better be able to use the low figure,
less about 20% to get anyone interested in it.

Just my thoughts!
