Recommendations for good family camp sites in NC?

Good evening to all!

Can you all recommend a good family car camping site in the North
Carolina area? Specifically the Charlotte area, but any would be
appreciated! My family and I are new to camping and I want to break
them in easy on places close to home!

Don't know the name of the site but it is on Lake Wylie,Charlotte, NC side.
A county park on Hwy 49 south @ the SC State line.
