Obviously, I don't need the quality found in a Eureka, etc...

So, how about a Wenzel tent? Any comments - good or bad?

How about Wenzel vs. Coleman - which would be preferred?

Thanks for the tent advice - there seems to be lots of questions out there
right now!

I would prefer the Coleman over the Wenzel. Look at Remingtons before you make
your final choice. Comparable price to Coleman, but I like Remington a little
better. I think so little of Wenzel, I won't even state it. ;-)

Good luck whatever you choose.

This is like comparing some american made cars. Should I get a Ford
Fiesta or a Chevy Chevette? Do you care about quality or not?

I had a Wenzel cabin tent. I got rid of it because it leaked badly. I
replaced it with a Coleman Montana. The Coleman is better because it has a
fly. The cabin tent did not have a fly. However the fly did not cover the
whole tent and it did leak a little through the zippers and the seams.

I prefer a tent with a full fly. I got some Ridgeway by Kelty, Dardanelle
(4 person tents). I got them from COSTCO for $63.99. They have full flies
with vestiules and keep the rain out fairly well. I spent three days in
constant rain, light mist to downpours. Tents dis not leak, except for a
couple of seeps at the floor seam. Seam sealer should fix the problem.
