Since I can't pronounce my heraldic job title, I thought I'd ask
the Rialto.
I would also be very pleased to find out what it means, before he
finds occaision to yell before smiting.
thanks!
Graydon
Pronounced: Ard (one syllable: "A" as in barr"a"ge, "rd" as in ha"rd")
choille (two syllables [choi'-lyuh]: "ch" as in lo"ch" [a sort
of gravelly hiss, NOT "CK"], "oi" as in "oi"l, "ll" as in
mi"ll"ion (an "ly" sort of sound), and "e" as a schwah ("uh")).
Meaning: Near as I can remember (my Gaelic is very rusty), it means
"The high wood." It may possibly refer to a specific forest.
Each Clan pretty much had its own War Cry, and many of them re-
fer to a specific place of significance to the family.
