Where do you obtain cheap rattan? I've been able to get some good
quality sticks from philipine martial arts suppliers, but it is expensive
($10-15 for a 20 to 30 inch length). I tried hardware/lumber stores and
even furniture makers. They say that their suppliers get it directly from
the Philipenes, but the local stores get it in the form of furniture. I'm
thinking about buying rattan lounge chair and then taking it apart.
Someone, please stop me.

The rattan they sold me was about 10' in length, 25 staves. With
shipping (from NY to Stillwater,OK) the cost per foot was about
$1.60.
