Since I am such a newbie to all this, I have a few questions:
What is proper attire for going to & from the nude beach? the first time we
went there, our son
came out of the house naked to get in the car. We had him go put shorts on
as we figured he was not
old enough to understand the different concepts, but old enough to need
coverage. Our daughter wears
a thong bikini bottom and a sheer cover-wrap for her upper area. Usually
when not on the beach, she keeps
her cover-wrap on. Occasionally when leaving the beach, she has not put her
thong on (usually if it has gotten
wet) and instead covers her body with the cover-wrap. This leaves her naked
body semi-visible thru the
sheer cover-wrap.
My duaghter isn't cooperating very well, so my questions are:
How big of a deal is it when going to & from a nude beach if my daughter's
breasts are
visible thru the sheer cover?
How big of a deal is it when going to & from a nude beach if her naked body
is visible under the sheer cover?
Would it be a problem when going to & from a nude beach if my daughter wears
her thong bottom
but nothing else, leaving her breasts exposed?
About our youngest son:
He is only 8 years old & loves the nude beach, but really fights us about
wearing clothes
on beach. Is it ok if an 8 year old is naked going to & from the nude
beach?
Are there any books that help explain & understand this type of stuff?
thanks

I'm curious... where do you live that the nearest beach is a nude beach?

What in the hell are you talking about Arizona???
Maybe you are hitting the bottle a little.
Your in the state of confusion!!
If a thong bathing suit bottom conforms to legal or community standards
it would be fine. However, I would recommend you telling the children
that there is a time and place for nudity, i.e.., the beach and at home
away from prying eyes of the community.

You don't say for a fact how old your daughter is. In most places in
the US, a woman doesn't have to make much more than a token effort to
cover her breasts. In some places, she doesn't even have to make that
effort at all. I don't know that any woman (or older girl) has ever
been cited for "not quite actually making it absolutely impossible for
someone to determine what she has on under her top". A sheer, but not
deliberately see-through, cover up should be just fine legally almost
everywhere -- and desirable in others.

In my experience "Um! She's not wearing any underwear!" is confined to
Middle School campuses and to droolers along TEXTILE beaches. My
previous comment regarding breasts will apply with equal force to the
rest of her body. If someone effectively has to "look up her skirt" to
determine this, it is they, not she who might be violating a law. It's
certainly not illegal anywhere in the US that I know of if I can
"almost see the edge of your pubes under your white pants if I look
really hard".

Certainly no problem in NY state, Canada, and in many other places
that have no particular valid law against women not covering their
breasts. In places with specific Anti-Nudity laws that haven't been
declared unconstitutional that say that women must cover their breasts
this would be a problem. However, since most of the time when you are
going to a nude beach you are not within city limits (or not within
the city limits of a place that has such a law [otherwise how would
the nude beach be legal?]), most states in the US have no such law.
Whether this is a good idea or not is under your discresion as a
parent (or under your daughter's discression if she is an adult).

Well, surprise! Despite Pedophilephobia and everyhting else, most
places that have created Anti-Nudity laws have specifically exempted
persons under 10 years of age. In most places, it is just fine for
your son to go nude anywhere that you say it's OK. The schools may
have dress codes (of questionable enforcability), but other than that,
you son can, most likely, legally be nude anywhere.
I agree, and my 19 yr old daughter does exactly that (a "token effort" to
cover her breasts with a sheer covering) Her breasts are clearly visible
under the sheer covering and no one has ever gave her any trouble over it
(although she does get occasional stares from the boys!)

I'ld let the kid go naked as he wants to. If people are wanting him to put
clothes on
then it is their problem. Of course, if several people complain they you
have to consider
it you need to conform to the desires of the community.
