As a second-best option for the time-being, are there any prime locations
to catch some rays thonged?

i live in worthington, oh (right outside of deleware where alum creek is)
and i never knew it was CO, so i doubt that it is. sorry. -elizabeth-
Alum Creek was raided a few years ago by park rangers and
there were arrests with names printed in the Dispatch. We
only go to Nudists Camps where there is a close 50/50 male
- female ratio and there is no worry about busts (no pun
intended) or gawkers.

If HB188 weren't on anyone's agenda, I'd agree completely. But until we've
successfully killed that proposed bill, I don't think we should rock the boat.
We _are_ going to have to challenge some ideas here in Ohio if we want to
have public sites available to us. But timing such actions so that they give
ammunition to those who might vote for bills like HB188 is probably not wise.
As a clothed dog walker who uses Alum Creek to take the boys off their
leashes and wandered into this conversation, let me add my two cents. Alum
Creek is a bit of a misnomer. This is a very big stretch of Creek which
features a rather crummy beach sections with life guards et al. That's the
section that spawned the bust the teenage girls in thongs stupidity a few
summers ago. There are other sections of the creek that are much more
remote where you don't have to deal with the teeming masses. Be creative.
In fact, the quarries of Delaware County have been used by teens by years
for swimming sans clothes and doing other things that teens do when they
don't have adult supervision. Don't cause a scene in the central Alum
Creek area or the heat will come down and dog walkers will get ticketed as
well :-{

This is precisly the reason TBN is against Alum Creek nude usage. Yes,
some people are still going there and they are doing so at their own risk.
Alum Creek has been surrounded by construction that makes the site even
less usable than it was a few years ago. An ocean beach or major river
beach is one thing. An algae choaked pond just over the hill from a number
of fishing areas and near a number of homes isn't. TBN wants to find some
areas worth fighting for, but after this bill is defeated. It has still
not gone to the committee, so there is still time to fight it. BTW: a bill
remains active for 2 YEARS after it's been proposed, unless something else
happens to it, so we have to see on our legislators about this thing.
