There has been c/o use at S. Padre and Bolivar to name just two; Hippie
Hollow (aka McGreggor Park) on a lake is c/o; there are a number of
nudist parks in that state that are affiliated with either TNS or AANR
and can be found at www.aanr.com and www.naturist.com

It must have been a while since the name has changed twice over the past
several years. It is now BB's Hideaway.
Walk south on the beach about 1/2 mile (depending on the crowd) and
you can enjoy being nude. There is even a painted "nude beach" sign on
the back side of a large log about 1 mile into the beach.During the
weekend I was last there in May, there were about 10 nudists scattered
out from 1/2 mile down to where I was at about 1 mile down the beach.
There were more further down from me, too.
The turtle patrol rangers from the park would ride by on their
4WD-ATVs and wave. I see no problems from the Coast Guard or other fly
overs.

North Padre Island at Corpus Christi
South Padre Island
Hippie Hollow on Lake Travis at Austin (county owned, official nude park)
Bolivar Beach near High Island
East Matagorda Peninsula
Matagorda Island
Barton Springs at Austin
Also a number of resorts. Directions and info gladly forwarded on request.

Coast Guard can be seen maybe once a day--if you lucky to spot them.
This is a peak of the Ridley Sea Turtle so you will see many "Turtle
Patrols" on ATVs. These are NPS volunteers with no law enforcement
powers. Friendly people doing a terrific job.
No vehicles are allowed on this beach (North Beach). Therefore, this is
a very quiet and safe place. Safe because you won't get run-over and
because no "whackos" come there since they would have no quick route of
escape.

Where are the two Matagorda sites? I'm working 60+ hours per week
right now and will soon be seeing my first weekend off in AGES next
week.
I'd LOVE directions (from Houston) and the details.
Thanks in advance!

Well, I just found out that both places on Matagorda are the same place! Sorry
about that. This is not an "official" nude beach, but has been used by nudists
for years. All this means is that if you spot a cop you should cover up. I have
to admit I've never been to this place, but got these directions from my
sister-in-law. However, she says her favorite place is Bolivar Peninsula, so
I've included directions to Bolivar, just in case. Hope something here is
useful. Have fun.

East Matagorda Island.
From Houston, follow 59 south to Wharton, and turn left on hwy. 60. Follow this
road onto Matagorda Island. Turn left on the beach and drive as far as you can.
Bolivar Beach
From Houston, go east on I-10 about 60 miles to the Winnie, TX, exit (Hwy 124
South). Take 124 south to High Island. 124 ends at hwy 87. Go left on 87 and
drive past the barricade (closed to thru traffic). The road is rough but
drivable if you take it slow. Go until you reach a straight hedgerow on the
left running perpendicular to the road. This is the Jefferson Co. line. The
beach begins there on your right and runs a couple of miles. Turn in at any
turnoff and park wherever you want.
