CO in Colorado
Rick, I don't know any place in Boulder but I will tell you about a
couple of nice places. They will require transportation however.
One of mother nature's greatest spots is located in the White
National Forest. The trail head is about a mile out of Aspen, then
you have to hike about 8 miles. The trail head is at about 8500 feet
a 11,500 you will find Condrum Hot Spring. Totally undeveloped at
night you can not see a man made light out side of the camp fires
around the spring. A park ranger spends the summer at the spring.
You will met a nice range of people, doctors, lawers, runners, rich &
poor but all friendly. I recomend that you plan to spend a couple of
days . There is a cool mountain stream that flows down each side of
the spring. Runners from Aspen will run in sit in the hot spring for
a while then run back to Aspen, but I have always prefered to stay a
few days. A good sun screen is a must, the air is quite thin at
11,500 you can burn very quickly. This site is a must if at all
possible.
Strawberry Park, located just out of Steamboat Springs. You can
drive right up to the springs. The man who owns the property has a
toll gate and charges a small fee for camp sites This site is CO
most of the time it just depends on the crowd at the time. I have
never had a problem.
Condrum is by far the best exprience. I have been going there for
about 12 years it is the best CO spot I have ever found.

The following is a summary of the nudist clubs, resorts, and hot
springs that I know of here in Colorado.
Mountain Air Ranch - a landed club, about 20 miles west of Denver,
probably has the most developed facilities. They include a
swimming pool, hot tub, club house, hiking trails, sun deck,
volleyball courts, campground, children's playground, picnic
facilities.

Rocky Mountain Bares - a non-landed club based in Denver. Their
activities include swim parties and outdoor barbecues. Monthly
they rent out a health club or a hot tub place for a party.

Silo Country Club - a developing landed club, near Wellington (north
of Fort Collins), some facilities still under development, has
swimming pool, club house, volleybal courts, softball field, pool
table, ping pong table, camping. Open on weekends only. Note:
This information is about two years old. I don't know the status
of Silo today.
Desert Reef Beach Club - a club in Penrose (near Canon City).
This place is build around a hot spring. Clothing optional several
days of the week.
The Well - this is the original site of Desert Reef Beach Club. They are
both located in the same general area.
Valley View Hot Springs - in San Luis Valley. They
were featured in the centerfold of Clothed With The Sun magazine in
the Spring 86 issue. Beautiful view of the mountains and the San
Luis Valley. Non-members may visit on weekdays.

Strawberry Springs Hot Spring - near Steamboat Springs. Don't
know much about it except that it exists.
Conundrum Hot Springs - near Aspen. Undeveloped hot spring on
National Forest land. 7 mile hike to get there. Described in
World Guide to Nude Beaches and Recreation.
Note: Many of the private clubs have membership restrictions attempting to
keep the male-female ratio from getting too much out of balance. So it is
best to bring a friend of the opposite gender with you.
Send me email if you want more info. I am a member of RMB and have
visited several of the others.

Here is the info from their brochure (no I don't talk like that :-).
It is from 1988 so some of the info may be old.

Valley View Hot Springs is located on the western slope of the Sangre de
Cristo mountains in southern Colorado, with a spectacular view of the San
Luis Valley. First used by the Ute Indians, it was homesteaded in the
1800's before Colorado Statehood. The springs were develooped as a resort in
the early part of this century, when the cabins and the original swimming
pool were built. With its unspoiled beauty and the freedom of a clothes
optional environment, Valley View is an alternative to more commercialized
resorts and a truly natural setting for soaking, swimming, hiking, and
camping.
Valley View is open year round. It is primarily a campground with a few
cabins for extra shelter from the elements.
Four natural ponds are scattered across the hillside for leisurely soaking.
They range in temperature from 80 to 98 degrees. The large swimming pool
has 89 degree water flowing through at all times and no chlorine. There is
also a wood burning sauna with a small pool inside. All the water is clean
and pure with no sulfurous odor. There is a clothing optional policy in the
water and on the grounds.
In order to preserve the peaceful and unspoiled atmosphere, Valley View has
a membership program. You must be a member, or be with a member, to visit
on any weekend or holiday. During the week the general public is allowed to
visit unless the Hot Springs is crowded.
A limited number of memberships are sold each fall for the following year.
To receive membership information and an application, you may place your
name and address on a mailing list at any time through the year.
Valley View is located at 8700 feet above sea level. This means the nights
are always cool and the sunshine is very strong. Remember to always be
prepared to camp. The nearest store is in Villa Grove, which is 12 miles
away.

From: drake...@aol.com (Draker2237)
Fort Collins has many opertunities for Nudism. The most popular is
Horsetooth Reservoir. Go to the coves at the western end and pack out any
trash you take in. Some people skinny dip at Dixon reservoir just east of
Horsetooth, but you stand a greater chance of being ticketed as it is
visible to the public.
Hike along the many trails West of Fort Collins.
Severall of the Greek clubs offer nudism in town during the parties they
host.
Another place to hike is up Boulder Canyon, Take the 4-mile road turnoff
and drive for about seven miles, untill you see a red box car, then turn
left and drive untill you see cars parked or to the end of the road and
park and hike about 100 yards to the water and then enjoy.
