Fromage '98 awards - the not-so-best of the year

Fromage is the annual compilation of cheese-grade video from MuchMusic.
This year, as last, it was hosted by Ed the Sock. The original Fromage
episodes several years back were hosted by Charles de Camembert (who had
an uncanny resemblance to a songwriter and former Much VJ).
The Fromage '98 was broadcast on Much from 29th December and was listed for a
few more repeat showings 15h00 (Eastern) Sunday 3rd January and 08h00 ET
Monday 4th January (Canadian schedule - Much schedule in other countries may
vary). Those may be the final showings of Fromage '98. See www.muchmusic.com
for programme listings. Times will vary according to zone and country.
This is a very unofficial and rough listing of the artists featured this
year. Much of the show consisted of brief excerpts of many videos, rather
than show a number of videos in their entirety. Most of the videos were
only verbally identified by artist. Thus this list is necessarily incomplete
and information may not always be inaccurate as transcribed for specific
video/song titles, but this should at least give the general idea of the
proceedings. Assistance in filling in blanks or correcting spellings
is welcomed...
From routines like Ed's discourse on Good Cheese and Bad Cheese, one wonders
if the Fromage awards have lost some edge over the years. The show has featured
some killer camp in past years.
