Could someone make a list of which Sandman issues Delirium appears in? I'd like
to buy at least one to see what the character is like. I know I liked the
excerpts that I read in her Spin interview...
Thanks!
Jon

OK, but just this once. After this you have to come and bother the folks in
rec.arts.comics.misc.

Delirium appears in:

Sandman issues 21, 31, 41-49, 55, 56, 59, 63, and the Sandman Special.

I'd suggest reading #41-49 as they're really the ones that involve her
the most. They're collected in the _Brief Lives_ hardcover. The trade
paperback is due out in November.

Otherwise, her appearance in #31, all about the first emperor of the United
States, is pretty good and it's a single issue story.

Del has very short appearances in #55, #56, and #59, so don't bother with
those.

Delirium first appears in Sandman#21 at a "meeting" with her other
brothers and sisters. She is also in Sandman#31. The first storyline
dealing a lot with her is "Brief Lives" which starts with Sandman#41. It
is collected in hardcover for about 25 bucks and should be out in
paperback soon. Check a comics shop. Issue #21 gives you a pretty good
feeling of what the character is about...

Sorry...can't help you with the "which issues" question (I only buy the
books, and I've only got two so far...)
However, I have another question.

Delirium used to have another name (rather, she used to be another
person) that was similar. Does anyone remember what it was? It's been
driving me crazy...I once knew, but forgot, and can't find a reference!
It also starts with a D (of course) and seemed to me to have
connotations more towards blatant insanity (Delirium, to me, pretty much
just means "seeing things," though I know that's not what it REALLY
means)

I thought about Dementia, Delusion, and one or two others, to no
avail...none spark memory...

Please help!

Anyway, to bring this thread back on subject with this group, another question:
If Delirium was patterned after Tori, was the previous persona also? Was
the change in part because of Tori? Was the previous persona more or
less like her? And if Delirium is so much like Tori, as people who have
met her say, is Tori really that wacked out???

look everyone, I made butterflies!"

Ciao...
