question concerning pitch class set theory

Dear community,
I have a question concerning the pitch-class set theory, known from "the
structure of atonal music" by Forte.
Is someone of You able to explain in simple words what the subcomplex kh
is. I tried to understand but unfornutalely I'm not familiar with the
symbols of set theory in mathematics.
