Prior to making his breakthrough, Elton John used to be a session singer
who sung tracks on a series of budget albums called "Top Of The Pops"
(named after but not in any other way connected with the long running
BBC programme of the same name). I'm guessing that this performance and
indeed the other tracks on the album featured in the youtube video are
lifted from these albums
