Would like to get a listing of female solo artists from the 1970's to 1990.
Heard a song on radio from a very popular female artist from L. A. but I cant
remember her name. She was very popular with male recording artists (eagles
etc>)from California. Heard her song on a play list from a Delta airlines
flight-mentioned her name and I have forgotten it. Help. Its not Ronstandt or
any of the very popular artists from this area.

Don Henley produced a 1979 self-titled album by Glenda Griffith on
Ariola: it featured session work by members of the Eagles & Carole
King plus such LA- session heavyweights as Valerie Carter, Kenny
Edwards, Walter Egan, Jay Ferguson, Andrew Gold, Russ Kunkel, Danny
Kotchmar & Waddy Wachtel. You can find the details at www.allmusic.com
under Glenda Griffith. She cut several Danny O'Keefe songs including
Angel Spread Your Wings plus King's Eagle: Griffith's version of Jesse
Winchester's Isn't That So was a minor airplay item in Canada since
Winchester's authorship qualified it as Cancon. Just a possibility!

Nicolette Larson made it big in Cali but she wasn't really a Californian. She
lived all over the country because her father was a politician. Don't recall
where she was born. Montana??? She was a great singer for sure.

Right you are. According to Mr Whitburn she was born in Helena Montana
7/15/52 and raised in Kansas City.
She moves to Frisco in '74. She did session work with Neil Young, Linda
Ronstadt, Van Halen and others.
