When were "Topsy I & II" actually recorded? Probably a lot earlier than
1958, my guess. What else would explain why the hit, "Turvy II", can be
found in stereo (confirmed in record price guides), but not "Topsy"? Why
does the licenser of these Love Records recordings only offer record
companies monophonic versions? He does not reply to me, since I know of
the stereo versions. While I love Cozy, I can't find anything that
approaches his drum solo on "Topsy II". With this song, even if this is
a reenactment, for stereo, Cozy is primarily the only one who forgets
how the original hit version was played! Close, but no cookie!...

For a self-proclaimed stereo expert you really should know more. Stereo
was a luxury item in the 50s & early 60s. "Topsy" was the first single he
recorded for Love Records. Why on earth would this new record label go to
the added expense of making a risky, costly separate stereo version when
Cole hadn't yet proven he could even sell one single mono record????
Rocket science? No. Economics of staying in business. When the single did
go to number 1 it doesn't take many brains to realize the label could now
afford to indulge in stereo. Believable? To me, yes; to you, no. But that's
not my problem.
