Whether deserved or not (not sure we'll ever know), it's a shame his
late father's memory will have to be sullied by association with his
very myopic's son's,

or curry popularity - AND with such a vastly huge segment of the USA
populace) for cutting ties with Hank Williams, Jr. over latter's
characterizing President Obama as "the enemy" and comparing him to
Hitler (and secondarily insulting Hitler's millions of victims, or
their memory in the process, to boot)

I'll miss the "Are We Ready For Some Football" song, but I'm heartened
by the fact the one such as Williams, Jr., who has more than merely
put his foot in his mouth, will not be receiving royalties for each
time that song is played on MNF, and that the stain of association
will be removed by ESPN's cutting the Gordian knot with this
overgrown, legend in his own mind, prejudiced imbecile, despite the
criticism that I'm sure will have come their way from small minds who
don't see the need stop malevolent words and destructive psychology in
its tracks, and gave HWJr. the hook.
The bitter pill for me to swallow, is now questioning whether apple
didn't fall far from the tree to start with, or where did the son get
his thinking from?
Let's get small, Hank, Jr.?
I'm not a goody, goody, really, or someone aspiring to that, but this
(ESPN's decision) is a big, national moral win for our country, and
they have set a great example.

political views were (if any), they couldn't have been much of an influence
