Memo to SJC:

I am not particularly a fan of the "Sweet Bands", although like some rock and roll acts (or top 40 acts in Oldies "new" time), occasionally there was an exception recording I could abide or even like among the hundreds of other dreck recordings these particular artists made.

For instance, I can abide a couple of Guy Lombardo recordings, such as "Enjoy Yourself, It's Later Than You Think" or his satire on the St. Louis Blues (1934 version). And HATE the rest of his catalog. I think there is all of one Freddy Martin record I could recommend, and detest the rest of his catalog, including and ESPECIALLY his "Hut-Sut Song".

I go for the jazzier or blesser artists in the Big Band era, like Count Basie, and other than about a dozen more uptempo numbers (certainly not more than 16), you could have the entire rest of the Glenn Miller somnambulent catalog found on that RCA super box limited edition of back in the 90's.

You're not going to interest me very much then with you may have to say about the artists you list.
