The eight-member Washington DC-based Afropop band Elikeh presents
Between 2 Worlds, an album fueld by the burning intensity of
percussive drumbeats, the flowing cadence of reggae, and the soulful
inspiration of funk and blues. A cross-cultural fusion of African
diaspora musical traditions, Between 2 Worlds is grounded in the roots
of struggle and survival, and as thought-provoking as it is
motivational. Highly recommended. The tracks are "No Vision" (3:36),
"Know Who You Are" (4:58), "Alonye (ft Vieux Farka Toure)" (4:27),
"Olesafrica (Ojah Awake)" (5:04), "Fly to the Sky" (3:55), "Foot
Soldier" (3:49), "Eh Wee" (4:55), "Let Them Talk" (4:58), "Nye'n Mind
Na Wo (ft John Kadlecik)" (4:55), and "Nye Dji" (3:20).
