Named after a mythical land of musicians who live off the land by
day and practice voodoo rites at night, Isle of Magic is the fourth
studio album of Mop Mop, a band that draws liberally from jazz,
Caribbean rhythms, Afro-funk, and soul. Producer Andrea Benini
collaborates with funk superstar Fred Wesley, Trinidad native poet
and singer Anthony Joseph, and Finnish-Egyptian vocalist Sara
Sayed on original songs in this eclectic and wildly creative
collection. A treasure for connoisseurs of multicultural music! The
tracks are"Jua Kiss", "Let I Go", "Kamakumba", "Heritage",
"Phantom of the Panther", "Run Around", "The Golden Bamboo",
"Loa Chant", "Black Ivory", "Damballah", "Mojomamy", "Afro
Jojo Part One", and "Afro Jojo Part Two".

Walk With Me

Moondust Records

PO Box 156914
San Francisco, CA 94115
$23.25 www.amazon.com

Walk With Me celebrates the great traditions of Reggae and
Jamaican music. It features the final recordings performed by
drummer Lloyd Knibb before he passed on, and consists of eleven
tracks in honor of musicians who are no longer with us. The
Skatalites, an eclectic group of performers who began performing
in Jamaica in May 1964 and whose Ska music caught on fire
worldwide, bring vibrancy, enthusiasm, and love of the art to this
"must-have" album for fans of the genre. Highly recommended.
The tracks are "Desert Ska", "Lalibela", "Hot Flash", "The
Leader", "Love is the Way", "Walk With Me", "Piece for Peace",
"Song For My Father", "Little Teresa", "King Solomon", and "Dub
Lalibela".
