MTV2 is showing every video they have, in alphabetical song order starting in
January. They expect to finish in May, i think. Anyway, beyond the opportunity
to maybe see the live performances that MTV has excerpted from the video music
awards and other MTV shows, do you think this might be our chance to see the RFE
video with the live footage cut in? The one that hasn't been released, you know.
:) Anyone get MTV2? Can anyone give us some prelim reports when it starts of
what we can expect?

Radio Free Europe. Don't worry, it took me a few moments, too.
Unless it's Radioactive French Engineers, which is a distinct possibility.

I get MTV2! I'm not sure what you want to know (i.e. what we can
expect?)?

I wasn’t aware of the alternative version of RFE so I’ll have to try
to catch that one too. Below are the vids I’ll be attempting to
record. Are there any other vids that are not included on the
officially released compilations? I have the ones from MTV’s
120 Minutes last year, the Up vids, and TGB.

LIST OF R.E.M. VIDEOS v.2.1
section 5. From New Adventures In Hi-Fi and Up, and "Tongue"

Tongue
E-Bow the Letter
Bittersweet Me
How the West Was Won and Where It Got Us
Green Grow the Rushes
Swan Swan H
(I already have Wolves, Lower and Electrolite. (Re: Electrolite: Anyone
know what's obscured on the front of Michael's tee?))

Thanks!

Calling on in transit, actually, according to murmurs.com, but I always thought
it was "Calling all intransients" or something. :)

I was thinking "Calling all in the trenches," sorta like a war cry for
free radio in europe, even though the song probably isn't about that.

The alphabetized vids are being aired in 12 hour increments with a
repeat, which is different than MTV2’s normal 8 hours of programming.

I believe the last video from yesterday’s round was A World Apart by the
Manhattan Transfer and the last vid from today’s round was Brandy’s
Almost Doesn’t Count. I could be mistaken as I was expecting only eight
hours of programming.

As you may have noticed, the word "A" was used in ordering, with many
(but not all!) of the items grouped by those beginning with the same
word (A or All, etc). Numbers were ordered by spelling. Don’t be
surprised by mistakes in alphabetization, accidently repeated vids,
and dead air.

R.E.M.’s All I Have To Do Is Dream was shown today (around 8:15am PST
so it should repeat at 8:15pm PST after Bjork’s All Is Full Of Love).

If the alternate version of RFE is the one with bits of live
performance of the band mixed with scenes w/ Howard Finster, then I
have that video. I also have Athens, GA Inside/Out and the videos for
"Tongue," "Bittersweet Me," "E-Bow the Letter," and "How the West Was
Won..." If interested in a possible trade of videos, interviews, etc.
You can email me at: ish...@scottsburg.com. I have a few things on
tape but am trying to get more, because a lot of my tapes were
destroyed.

Thanks,
Lori

I have the promo video (pop songs 89-99) with Electrolite, so I can confirm
that it says "MECCA" on the front of his shirt.

So there ya go.
