The bar and cafe that Peter is supposed to own is actually owned by his
wife I think. Anyways it's called the Crocodile Cafe and is in Belltown,
on 2nd if I remember correctly. I love it there, a really cool place to
hang out with friends.

Peter's first wife, Barrie Buck, owns the 40 Watt Club in Athens, Georgia.
Stephanie Dorgan, Peter's second wife, founded and already owned the very
successful Crocodile Cafe when they got together. I have seen stories in
Seattle Publications about the Seattle music scene which mentioned Stephanie
Dorgan and her club and she was always called "Dorgan" in her local papers,
never "Buck." The only time I see her name written as Stephanie Buck is when
people post about her on-line. Many women who are educated and sophisticated,
especially ones successful in their own right, as Ms. Dorgan certainly is,
don't change their own last name when they marry. (It rather obliterates one's
identity.) I am assuming that the local papers of her hometown know the proper
form to use (which would be the one she decided on upon marrying). But I am
not sure about it.

From what I know, it's Stephanie Dorgan Buck....ie both names
you know what is really weird? when i replied to the original post about
whether or not barrie still owns the 40 watt i could have sworn that it said
the former mrs. peter buck. oh well...

Thank you so much for the Politically Correct advice. I, too, know women who
are educated and sophisticated. They would have recognized that I didn't know
Peter Buck's wife's name and elected not to write 'Peter Buck's wife's' because
of the obvious clumsiness inherent in such a phrase. I was surprisingly more
interested in the ownership of the bar than Mr. Bucks marital status and
history.
