Pendergrass is a wide spot in the road between Athens and Gainesville.
One member of the Gee family or another seems to own all of what few
businesses there are, to judge by the signs. Wendell Gee Used Cars is
prominent among them and quite visible to all who drive the highway
through town.

I really hope they played the song at the memorial. Unfortunately, now
his headstone will be another stop on the Athens/R.E.M./Georgia tour route.

Is there a particular cemetery in Athens at which he is buried?
I'm going to Athens (joiners??) on my way home to Florida and thought I
would drive through the town and check out a few notables, mainly the 40
Watt club. To bad Tyrones is no more...there's a place I could stay for
days.
