For all of you that haven't a clue what faultline is, its a new album coming
out at the end of this month featuring a number of different artists
including Michael Stipe. Check out my site for more info.

Cheers,

That's so funny, I'd never even heard of that song (the original
version) until yesterday, when I started reading a book called "Once
There Were Greenfields" (it's about urban sprawl), and the lyrics are
quoted in the foreword. I think JMS's rendition is very nice,
especially as it showcases his lovely baritone.

The Brothers Four's version reached #2 on the Charts in 1960, charting
a total of 20 weeks.

I've always liked the clean simple crispness of their version. Despite
the electronica, I think I like Michael's, too. Did I miss something?
What was his version for?

BTW, I hope everybody will spend at least a couple of moments thinking
about why Monday's a holiday: I know I will.

Lawrence,

Listening to your Stipe samples from the 1 Giant Leap project now...

gorgeous tunes - thanks! :)

The Robbie Williams / Maxi Jazz piece is good, too.

hiya,

glad you're enjoying them :)

the giant leap album is a brilliant album in my opinion but definitely the
best of the bunch is Michaels track....

I'm hoping to put more content from the album up as I received a promo
sample cd of the album and dvd and there's a lot of good stuff on it...

Do you like the site?
