I need to know what are the 10 best REM Bootleg circulating around
during 23 years of its existance.
Anybody wants to help me about this? Thanks.

Bingo Hand Job (also called From The Borderline) is, for me, by far the best
REM bootleg.

Except that it mixes and matches concerts. ggrr...I hate that.

You'd need to be more specific and weight criteria betweem

1) sound quality
2) concert quality (songs, played, etc - BHJ wins hand down I suppose)
3) packaging quality
4) mix/matching (pet hate)

That Beat in Time is excellent

I really liked Down Under even though sound quality is low though if turned up
it is fine. I like it mostly because they play songs they later dropped on
that tour.

20th Century Boys both 1 and 2 are nice

We Support Greenpeace is of excellent quality

not so sure about recent ones.

Reveals, Live in Koln 2001 is very nice
Utrecht 1978 is no.1 for me, maybe because I was there, missed my train,
slept on a bench at the station and came home at the same time my father
came out of the house to go to work. Or maybe because it's actually a great
boot.

From my collection then (pertty much all the complete single concert REM bootlegs)

Rising
Live at Yokohama
Utrecht 1987 (various versions - 'Red Rain')
Time of Outtakes (demos)
Blue (MTV 1991 - various others)
Live in Athens 1992 (dunno how this compares to We Support Greenpeace, but compared to the Monster b-sides
this master is much better IMHO - much bassier, vocals much clearer on RFE)
Espana 95
Revolution

That'd be my pick

You are welcome. Just an FYI, This is not necessarily a list of the
"Best Sounding" boots although in many cases this would hold to be
true. A couple of the shows listed I have found amusing based on the
events onstage, setlists, etc. The Chick Evans show from 86 isnt
really a great sounding bootleg but Stipes pants fall down during it.
UCSB from September 1986 is only slightly better but It does contain a
sequence where Stipe gets an audience member ejected and calls another
one a fascist. He was not in a Pacifist mood whatsoever.

And for those types of reasons some of these make the list of
essentials.

Woohoo!....lol...Yeah thats how i do mine as well, there are some shows from 85
that are some of my absolute favorite shows but the sound is maybe a ''b'' or
even ''b-'' but the performances are so hot that they require listening for
sure...Would you have either of those shows for trade?..If not, no problem i
can look elsewhere but if so, shot me an email, i do have lots of other stuff
besides rem...
thanks again
