I read an article with S.M. where he said he was gonna break up the band. I
think it's the right time to do it.

Pavement is up there with my top favorite bands. i've seen them about 3
times....and the last time i saw them, yeah, they sucked. they were all mad at
each other, and sm couldn't even sing he was so stoned. damn. damn damn damn.

Don't worry yall! Slanted and Wowee will always rock, even if the band isn't
anymore. Pavement is eternal!

Aww, hell.
I have the say this is a real shame. I'm a relatively new convert to
Pavement, over the past two or three years, but have come to regard them as
one of my favourites, if not the favourite. They are so admirable. Wish them
well.

Well, yeah. I was at the Brixton Academy show on Sat., and it was pretty
clear that they were having a sort of last blast before the end. They
seemed to be having fun, though-- they threw away the setlist about two
thirds of the way through and jammed on a bunch of songs from Crooked
Rain and Wowee Zowee.

At least they went out with a bang.
