Feedback, Stipe announces "This is my favorite song" and I found this
quite surprising. Has he ever mentioned a "favorite song" to the public
before?

Yeah...I think on the Green Tour, specifically the track on Tourfilm I think,
Stipe says Get Up is his favorite. Also, a couple of years later on the MTV
Unplugged session, Stipe mentions Fall on Me as his favorite.

I know they've mentioned several different songs as their favorite, but
have the boys ever mentioned a favorite album?

I'm surprised no one has corrected the date yet. Not to be anal,
but it's 2/24/95, not September. Anyway, Stipey doesn't always sing
C.Feedback with his back to the crowd....I think the song is pretty
much the whole band's favorite.

Michael used to say that his favourite song was Fall On Me, and during
the Monster tour he said it was Country Feedback - because he had to
sing it with his back to the crowd. Whether that was the only reason
it was his favourite last year, I don't know, so Fall On Me might
still be a fave. Then again, R.E.M. probably really like some of the
new tracks they are recording.
