banky: "i've got a weird thing for girls who say aboot."
that's not true. he's been confirmed to have gone out with Natalie Merchant, she
talked about them dating in an interview in the UK two years ago or so? Not that
they went out two years ago, but in the past, in the early 90s, late 80s,
somewhere in there. And i think Jane Pratt has indicated she had some sort of
sexual relationship with MS. On that i could be wrong, i'm not a michael expert
by any means. But, he's been confirmed with at least one woman, and no men.
as you did note, none of us really know beyond what we've read. and MS isn't a
spice girl blabbing every moment of his sex life to the tabs.

Hey K!
Whaddaya say we share... I use MM to get to MS, and you the other way round, and
then we 'confess' and change...?

why she slipped my mind. :-)
carol levy has been referred to as "michael's girlfriend", but i've never
really read anything that went into any sort of detail about that.
let me know when you succeed in seducing MM, and i'll start working on MS, okay?

So, why don't you ask us trivia questions every once in a while? It would be
cool.
Or if you haven't done it before, why wouldn't you put these questions and
their answers to some of R.E.M. fan sites, which, I'm almost sure, would
really welcome it.
Just an idea...

mr weird.
when she died, she was referred to by Peter as one their girlfriends, perhaps
since Mike, Pete and Bill were taken, it was assumed she was Michael's
companion?
i dunno. i never knew ingrid schorr dated Mike Mills & Bill Berry until the
hermenaut article, so hey, who knows?
:o)
(that's all.)
You could do what I do and just avoid any post that actually requires
knowledge about the band and contribute to all the off topic threads
instead. It's fun!

i'd liek to help, but you didn't quote. your response is threaded after mine on
my newsreader, so i'll guess you're wondering who Jane Pratt is? She's an
editor, first for Sassy, now for Jane. In between she had a talk show with a
theme done by Mike Mills. She's known the band since the early 80s and appeared
on REM's Behind the Music. I think i recall that she said she and Michael had
gotten it on. Either way, they're friends and he's appeared in Jane, and etc.
Hope That Helps!
but you still need to quote. :)
There's nothing but rumors linking Michael to Stephen Dorff. They are prolly
just friends, and if they're not, or weren't at one time, it's none of my
beeswax, and certainly not something worth speculating on this forum.
That said, Stephen Dorff is an actor. He's been in lots of movies, including
SFW, and he played the villain in Blade.
lol...
i was wondering how long it would take to prove you were a troll. didn't take
long. the killfile will be happy to get a new member.
enjoy,
amy
it was not passive aggressive. It was passive aggressive to killfile someone
else from amy or H. Madigan today for never quoting. But my comment was intended
to be helpful and full of sweetness and light. :)

as in, YES! i dated michael. but no one believes me. ;) just kidding, i never
dated michael. it was just a one-night stand. still kidding, i can't stop. okay,
it wasn't a one-night stand, it was just a blowjob. wait, still kidding . . .

i know...isn't it sad when i take the bait like that.
bad, amy...bad!!!
i don't think k's comment about you not quoting was just an observation...more
like a passive agressive way of saying that you NEED to quote. (similarly, my
constant use of "..." is just a further effort to make her go insane...but,
that's a whole other story! <eg>) i'm coming from aol and cutting and pasting
is about the easiest thing you can do (and that's saying a lot considering aol
is made for kindergarten children to use...). learn it, know it, love it.
then (and rereading this line i should point out that i'm not being mean, just
helpful) read this thread from beginning to end. michael's "relationship" with
stephen dorff is pure speculation. gossip. not confirmed. (they ARE friends,
however.) what's being discussed in this thread are confirmed
relationships/romances. (meaning that one of the two people involved in said
relationship have said, "yes!!! we were together!!")
amy
okay...it seems that we both responded to the same post at the exact same time.
:-)
but, i do feel like pointing out something though...the tv version of SFW is
one of the funniest things that i've ever seen in my life. we watched some of
it when we were in DC for the TFC last summer (or, i guess, last last summer).
who knows what we were doing watching television instead of being out...i think
we were getting ready to go see robyn hitchcock. i swear, though...seeing the
edited version of this movie is a definate must. and it wasn't dubbed...i'm
thinking this was some sort of alternate version (and airplane edit, maybe?).
the "fuck"'s were completely gone.

rem...)

The film which featured our MM as a member of the Backbeat Band which
performed the soundtrack. I can't remember who else was in this, but I
believe Dave Grohl and Thurston Moore were part of it? And one of Mudhoney?
Or am I terribly wrong (such a long time since I heard it). And didn't Mike
sing lead vocals on Roadrunner? And should I stop asking so many dumb
questions?
Yes?
Oh, Ok...
Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Don Fleming (Gumball),
Greg Dulli (Afghan Whigs), & Dave Pirner as Paul McCartney's vocals. As you
noted Mike sang lead on roadrunner on the sndtrk [1]. Not dumb questions. :)
