I figure that this is probably an old topic around here (I did a
search on Deja, but could not find this topic, though), but it
seems to have come up several times within the past week, or so.
I've heard many different versions. Could someone with some
definite knowledge set the record straight?

What I heard was that he had a gun for protection(people constanly stealing
building supplies at his house) at some point, not clear on this part, he was
showing someone the gun, or he was trying to run someone off the property, and
it went off hitting the propane tank by the kitchen, it exploded starting a
fire, he went in to try to save his mother and was killed in the
process.........not 100% though but pretty sure it's something along those
lines....

Deja is revamping their site. Alot of the old articles
are yet to come back online. At least thet is the story
they gave me.

I have to do alot of research on AIX and Hp-UX so when
I could not bring up the old articles I shot off
an email to dejanews support. So that's how I found out.

Thanks for this info.
Lately I've also become irritated quite a few times because everytime I try to find old
articles by entering a specific range of dates in "powersearch" I get a "no messages
matched your search" reply, even when I'm sure such articles must exist.

Werner.

I would agree with this explanation- I was in Miami when it happened
and it was all over the local Caribbean media there, and I was in
Jamaica shortly after, and this is the story I got also.

The Police report stated that it was accidental death, caused by a gun that
went off from inside the small residence, bullet hitting a gas tank causing
a fatal
explosion.

Ah true, as Junior Reid put it to Ninja Man, 'gun nah have sense as the
man weh deh behind it' and Ninja replied 'Seh dat again and me show
you how me gun have sense', look at the poor fool now ! surely the only
way to handle a gun is into the bin (or trash can).
