Good that, my frustrations vanished when two ladies from Cambridge, ON
sat beside me. We sang along and danced all the show long. We didn't do
anything. They were drunk, I wasn't. They smoked marijuana, I didn't.
They were as tall as my belly level, I wasn't as tall as theirs.
Brian May was in excellent shape. Paul Rodgers's voice cracked a few
times and at some point he wanted "to break free" to early within the
eponymous song. Roger Taylor started the drum machine and came upfront
and did a few numbers as leadvocalist, including his "Radio Ga-Ga".
Brian May had his good solo moments as singer/acoustic guitarist sat
upfront, and as leadguitarist all over the stage and to its extreme
points. They included a few Free numbers too, including "Alright Now",
which was the very last encore (if not the "God Save The Queen" anthem
and after "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions"), Brian May claimed
they played "Under Pressure" live for the first time in North America.
They had screen projections as well, and, they even projected the late
Freddie on vocals and piano doing the "Bohemian Rhapsody" intro and it
was as if he had been there indeed. Good show!

I almost killed a guy at the Universal Amphitheater, during Peter

Back in the good old days when people went to a concert we sat down
and listened. 100% of our attention was on the musicians on stage.
Nowadays people sing, stand on their chairs, mosh and dance around like
idiots. Heck they can do that at home while listening to the record.
Why do these people do this? Really hard to enjoy the live expirence
when you have the morons doing stupid things.

Always. If the others around are like me, we do it. If not, fine as
well. We actually had seats in the last two rows at the third level, so
we didn't annoy anybody, or else we would have been told. We had enough
room, space, we enjoyed it and we were ok. Not any idiot who spits
hatred all over the USENET, like some of you guys, sings well,
unannoyingly.
Elka idiot, I basically use any opportunity to practice for my band
when I'm sure it's harmless for me and for anyone around me: at shows,
or while driving, etc. I have no time.
The girls had obviously attended other Queen shows, but this one was my
very first one. However, in my corner of CentralEasternEurope, where
people are way smarter than idiots like you guys who spit your hatred
all over the USENET, we too heard of Queen thirty fucking years ago. As
always, I pushed it to contacting the fan club, following an address I
found in some paper cut from I don't remember what western magazine.
They amazingly even replied me and sent me an llustrated booklet. I
still have it after all these years. Ha-haaa, look at this: Hair Colour
was one of the entries - Roger Taylor "Blond and various".
Some of us who are stupid enough as to post on a group infested with

I would gladly kill you if I catch you. Hombre, usually I kill men for

Na-na-na-na-boo-boo, you ca-an catch me! Booooooo.
Oh, Elka idiot, I had another one for you but I don't find the Yahoo

Radio Yerevan Answers:
No, no, Jeremy, there is this quote "He's pretty much retired from
having anything to do with the band", which I guess should be
interpreted as "does not tour any longer". I don't remember how old it
is, perhaps up to ten years back or so, or whether it was Brian May or
Roger Taylor who said that. Good also that, this question reminded me
to finally check the web site and find the answers I too was looking
for, yet forgot to do so for obvious reasons. It's Danny Miranda (Blue
:Oyster Cult), Jeremy, also Jamie Moses (Merlin, Broken English, Judy
Tzuke, Mike and the Mechanics to name but a few) on guitar, and Spike
Edney (I think I should rather say "We Will Rock You" production here
than Guns 'n' Roses, Elton John, Annie Lennox, again to name but a
few). Here, Jeremy, you can also see the entire set list, which I only
gave a few excerpts from http://www.queenpluspaulrodgers.com/ They did
Buffalo, NY last night and they do Pittsburgh, PA on Monday, etc.
Thanks for asking, I may recall anything else of interest.

Not every concert is the same. I saw Queen + Paul Rodgers at an outdoor
event in London. Queen were doing big, much-loved and well-known
anthems. At times, everyone was singing and dancing. Sometimes, that's
what the live experience is about, and sometimes it isn't.
When I've been to Yes concerts in the US, I've found the audiences far
too loud and inattentive. At the same time, I wouldn't want people
sitting silent and still during the encore. There's a balance. At that
Queen show, I think Edi got it right.

May I assure everyone, in my turn, that, believe it or not, I'm
actually well-behaved and decent, and also that, I started swearing (or
at least simulating it) only recently, as well as starting smoking
again (after 3.5 years' break) after unfortunate personal experiences
last summer (I wish no one had to go through anything like those). May
I assure everyone, that I attended countless philharmonic and church
recitals, as well as prog, experimental, and rock shows, and I can tell
the difference between what to do and what not to do depending on the
circumstances and the context of the show. I don't think Rhea Frankel
inconvenienced anyone with her dancing and singing along, after people
all over North America took days off from their jobs and studies to fly
to San Luis Obispo, CA, to witness the ressurection of a
TrevorRabin-less Yes, already more then a decade ago. I do know when to
not sing along, and if even my dancing would inconvenience anyone I
would stand/sit still immediately. I couldn't have put it better than
Henry. It was like a British celebration, Union Jacks included, I mean,
waved, in an overall joy, with everybody standing up straight and
singing at least the very last line, "God Save the Queen", of the
eponymous anthem, last Thursday night at the ACC. I too was shocked, at
times, to notice the difference between, e.g, the way I enjoy shows,
and, on the other hand, the coolness of redneck dudes over here, who
prefer to sit/stand, to claim they look cool with their expressionless,
unimpressed faces, motionlessly staring at the band, endlessly drinking
their always refilled beer glasses until they need their Pibroach/Cap
in Hand and so they really annoy everybody with their back and forth
wandering, and, meanwhile, their wives join my dance because their
hubbies don't dance(which was the case at the
http://www.severnvirgins.com ELP recital Jan 14th, 2006 in Milton, ON).
Not even deep in my mind can I still get it - how someone's harmless
need to feel good at a show hurts an (im)poster on the USENET, how in
the world the (im)poster picks at you and picks up from your posting
something you oversaw with the excuse of an assumed common-sense. I

You could have determined that one all by yourself by just taking a
look at the Toronto setlist within the page that I linked, as I don't
have the first 3 CD-s with me, because of personal reasons. I however
did the research for you, even though you don't deserve it. I used
http://www.queenonline.com -> Shop -> CD-s -> Original Releases, where
they only have Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack available from among the
first three albums.
But a Google search on "Queen I track list" reveealed this good web
site (to this end) http://www.hanken-net.de/queen/recordsnew.htm that
tells it all. E.g., by roughly comparing the track lists of the first 3
CDs with the Toronto setlist, my answer is: "No!".

To be fair, it came off more as a question of if they do play any songs from
the first three albums than anything else. Were you trying to say you were
not interested since they didn't bother to play anything off the first three
albums? That did not come across in the question.

The first five or six Queen albums are amazing. Zintor son of Zantac gets
down very much and often to the gratuitous but majestic studio overdubage of

Live, however, they always sounded like a very, very bad Queen tribute band

One one hand, Milosevic and Babic were war criminals. No doubt about
this. On the other hand, Milosevic was a symbol of resistance against
the western idiot politicians voted by idiots like yourself. There is
no doubt in our poor Armenian minds that, both of them were actually
