Hi all,

Just saw a deluxe reissue of The Trip's
4th album, with a mini gatefold cardboard
sleeve (didn't say if it was remastered,
but appears to be). I didn't catch the label,
but we certainly seem to be in the
middle of this nutty Prog 'revival' thing.
I can't think of a more obscure group
(maybe a couple) to get the 'deluxe'
treatment than The Trip (ala the recent
PFM 20-bit's). Somebody out there likes us!

Hey Doctor!
Wouldn't it be great if they (or some other progressive minded label) would
release The Foul Tempered Clavier?
Happy Accidents was fantastic!

Steve, is there any way to hear some of this?
I know its been in the can for awhile now.

Ron.

Akarma releases are boots? I have the Toad box set and it seems pretty legit.
to say the least. The CD's are recorded from albums, but the pictures on the
back of the booklet of Vic V and the guys from Akarma hanging out wouldn't lead
one to believe the stuff was unauthorized.

I've NOT told that ALL akarma releases are bootlegs.

Surely bootlegs are the following:
ANONIMA SOUND
LE STELLE DI MARIO SCHIFANO
(as I have the exclusive rights until 2004)
ALBERO MOTORE
LOGAN DWIGHT
as the rights belongs to majors that don't give licenses.

I've many doubts for
RICHARD LAST GROUP that come from Holland anyway

What about their " Maledetti" LP release?, is that a boot?

Tisocco, of Artis Record sold all CRAMPS rights to Polygram, now
Universal.

I really doubt that Polygram sold licenses for Area and Elecric
Frankestein to Akarma.

I think that Artis tried to get some $$ selling some titles to Akarma.

Many of the ESP series are bootlegs (their covers are even taken from the
Zyx CD reissues. And apart the ones mentioned by Mauro other US psychedelic
albums are bootleged as well (for example the unedit BIG BROTHER's Ernie
Joseph CD is nothing more than one side of each GIANT CRAB album where he
was playing under a pseudonym).

I also think that "Get Back" and "Akarma" are the same label...

But many of the ESPs- those on ZYX's Syndicore sub-label are legit re-issues,
i'm pretty sure. The 3 or 4 Sun Ra CDs on the label are pretty much free
domain, so I've heard. BTW- the new owners of the ESP catalogue- can't recall
who offhand- are supposedly going to give the titles the old remastering
treatment. Should be interesting...
