their drummer?? I _gotta_ have all they've done - Samla Mammas Manna is one
of my all-time favorites, and one of the best concerts I have ever attended
was their reunion gig in '91.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the man, when he recorded parts of the
Triangulus sessions in the studio where I was working at the time. I met
Coste once too, but that's another story.
Ah, I see that my FK MP3 has finished downloading - now let's see if it can
live up to even half of my expectations.

If you like Hasse Bruniusson drumming you should check out the two CD's
by
Ensamble Nimbus. Their music is also more related to Samla Mammas Manna
than
the Flower Kings are. BTW Hasse isn't the drummer in the Flower Kings.
He plays
percussion.
I also think you might like to know there is a new Samla Mammas Manna
album on
the way.

I just have to recommend ENSEMBLE NIMBUS, and not only for Hasse's
fantastic drumming, but also for their pretty unique style and weirdness.
You can download an MP3 from their latest album from my web page (URL in
.sig).
Hasse actually played drums on Roine's second album, "The flower king",
but only on a couple of tracks, the others being played by Jaime Salazar.
Listen to those and then realize how much better Hasse is :)

Well, I'm glad Hasse is "only" the percussionist in the Flower Kings.
Half of your moneys worth at a FK concert comes from seeing Hasse
running around banging on his instruments, rattling chains etc.
Yes, the Ensamble Nimbus CD:s are great, but I think they are even
better as a live band.

As usual, brazilians had the bad deal: when the Flower Kings came to
play here, Hasse didn't came, and Tomas Bodin was nowhere to be seen also.
His replacement was OK, but you know, it's kinda sad...

I don´t know if he thinks in terms like that. I know that Hasse likes
Brufords drumming a lot. Perhaps that means a lot of influences.

here.....has your new solo cd been released yet? And would you mind
describing it a bit? I thought An Ordinary Night... was great. Will the
new one be similar and any chance you might add a vocalist to a track or
two? Just curious. Thanks!

Hi Joe.
There have been some delays..... At first the FlowerPower took more time
then we expected. I think it愀 not so easy to go from one project to another
without some rest. However, I 惻l talk to John Silverwood (UK)and perhaps he
could publish his monthly newsletter . There you can read all about the new
solo CD.
I would very much like to have vocals on it , but I惴 really a bad writer
when it comes to lyrics. And it getting even worse in English. So I guess I
have to stay where I belong.

In april we are touring Europe. Then perhaps we tour USA in May.

Jeg ser at TFK skal tournere i Europa - kommer I til København - i så
fald hvornår. Jeg har også hørt at TFK engang har tilbudt at spille
uden betaling her, men ingen gad at arrangere en koncert - what a
disgrace - Danmark er virkelig blevet et u-land mht prog-rock.
Sorry guys for writing this in Danish - I'm just asking Tomas if and
when TFK will be playing in Copenhagen.

I can imagine it feels a lot safer for the other people in a band to
have a drummer like Jaime. On the other hand, a drummer like Hasse can
push a band way beyond their limits on a good night.

We have no gigs in Denmark right now,but we´re working on it for future
tours. The Danish people seems to be so open minded (in general) so I belive
you could find some prog-friends there.
What about "Huset" I belive Kaipa played there?

Tak for svaret. Jeg ved ikke om "Huset" fungerer som koncertsted
mere, men "Pumpehuset" eller "Loppen" på Christiania, eller måske
"Vega" ville være et bedre valg. Tivoli's Koncertsal eller Falconér
Teatret ville nok yde musikken mere retfærdighed, men det er der nok
ikke publikumsgrundlag til. Jeg er ikke en særlig flittig
koncertgænger mere, der er simpelthen ikke meget af det musik, der
bliver spillet, der har min interesse. Men hvis TFK kom, ville det
være en anden sag :o)
No, I didn't see Kaipa play in "Huset". In fact I just became aware of
them a few years ago, when I happen to be in Visby, Gotland for job
purposes. I went to the local Åhléns to look for Änglagård. Progbear
recommended them to me. The guy in the warehouse happen to be a
prog-fan and introduced me to Kaipa, so I went off with one Änglagård
and two Kaipa CD's, which I certainely don't regret. Anyway, I'm glad
you consider playing in Denmark.
