This is a TEXTBOOK case of FLAMEBAIT. There are many things one can do
with this. The first, is of course, ignore it. A good choice. why? well....
You see, people who post stuff like this get joy out of causing flame wars,
that is, wars where everyone and their mother gets involved saying stuff like
"Phish doesn't suck!" The trouble is, it often happens in public, and that's
when digest readers (who can't *have* killfiles) get *really* annoyed.....far
tooo much of their digest gets used on flame. Furthermore, it's real real real
improbable that someone like this actually *reads* this newsgroup, so nothing
you say is gonna reach him , so what's the point in posting it at all? Other
options: flame him privately. This is OK, but it's really a waste of your
time....besides, flamebait is often due to someone walking away from a terminal
while still logged in, and having someone clever come and post a message like
this one. so, the person whose account it is gets a mailbox full of flame and
doesn't know why. This person, however, was *very* clever and used a false
site. I haven't bothered to try and trace it, but if this kinda shit REALLY
bothers you (don't let it. trust me.) go find a computer guru and get him/her
to trace the origin of the message. Whatever else you do, let's let this
thread die here, huh? Thanks.
