A massive collection....would you pay for it?

Shapiro was on Sirius to celebrate the Vegas 96 release and BC came up. He
wondered if people would pay for it. It would cost a lot. Probably 12-14
discs.
I would get it. Would you?

Audio.....
hmm.. Maybe.... Probably....better chance if it came with a nice photo book
or something

Video.....
I would trample my family to get one even if it came in a brown bag and no
cases.

Big Cypress documentary with 4 or 5 disk set of all the music.

On my wish list right above (maybe even below) World Peace.

:)

All that footage is just sitting on a shelf somewhere. Drives me nuts!!

Did they even do a soundboard recording at BC? Well, at any rate, if
there is a recording better than the one I have now, I'd be
interested. And, like Jim said, video would be way cool, even if it
were just the stuff you saw up on the big screens they had on either
side of the stage. I'd buy the DVD box set in a heartbeat (or save up
for it, then buy it). I am not going to argue that BC was the best
concert ever (though some of it approached that level, like that
ridiculous SOAMelt, and the Bathtub Gin from the midnight set), but it
was certainly a landmark occasion in MY life, I don't know about
anyone else...

Ha....ironic.
Pulled this show this morning to listen to in the work van.

Don't know the source, but it sounds great!
Sweet guitar tones...Mike's bass is nice & full.
Good separation of instruments....I think I got it from etree.

I would take whatever they offer and gladly pay for it, pre ordered
and off of work the day it arrives ta boot!
IMO, that was the greatest music event ever.

Of course they did. The chances of people hearing it before they want
to let it out is next to zero.

Sounds like my copies - like 10 discs - FULL stereo sound - a 9.5 on a
scale of 10 for an AUD.

I got it gifted in the peak RMP days a few months after the BC show -
and the source is phenomenal.

It's pretty awesome for what it must have taken to put together. It
gave me chills the first time I watched it too.

As for a phish derived box set of cypress..I'd be down for a download
of it. Not necessarily the whole box set of dreams. Just a nice crispy
soundboard would make me happy as a clam.

As great as it was, there are so many musically better shows, as for the
whole package BC was it, but a CD does not create the ambience of NYE at BC.
The show was very good, But second night Hampton or Portland 99, even
Shoreline night one probably better, as are many 97-98 shows. As for the
Front, they should release like 5 more shows from there, including the wild
Creature encores. 89 Towner over 90 and 91 made no sense to me. Also
everry Keane show should be released. Just IMHO. Also more videos, but if
all those are released, sure BC would be great as it was a beautiful time
for all.

1K at a time just to make sure they didnt sit on thousands of dollars
of BC disks

there is a 4CD set of the midnight to sunrise set, called project
midnight to sunrise. all fan videos. really good compilation, doesnt
miss hardly a note. check it out, might be on dimeadozen or some
torrent site.
