that video's cool as hell. my tattoo artist did something like that, he
go this whole back done (from the shoulders to the back of his knees)
and they had a pro photographer take a photo every 28 seconds for all
50 hours he got the tattoo, and made a video the same way as the girl.
It came out really cool, they are trying to enter it in some contest,
but if it ever makes it to the internet i'll post it.

Interesting.

I'm glad she got new glasses in there somewhere.

She has a very large wardrobe.

She looks sad. I guess the wardrobe didn't help.

it would be cool if it was a young person who aged rapidly so you could
see the dramatic growth

Yeah, I'm reading into it.

That's a tricky thing. I do the art thing. I went to art school.
Self-portraits generally look sad because it's hard to remain motionless and
look happy.

In a few frames she cracks a tiny smile.

I wonder how she got such amazing uniformity. I wonder if everyone's hair
would look so dramatic when sped up.

if you know how to write computer programs, it shouldn't be that
difficult...

when i did my thesis i had to write something to make it so peoples'
eyes were on the same exact pixels in the images i had... so i wrote a
program that would show all the pictures, and i would click the left
eye, then the right eye... it would eventually write that data to a
file, then i'd run another program that took that data and cropped and
resized the pics so it was just faces and the eyes were always on the
same pixels.

if she just stood the same distance away from the camera every day, it
wouldn't be that difficult to rotate/move the pics so everything is in
the same place.

actually, on this same topic... one of my professors at BC did this same
thing, but he's been doing it for almost 20 years. his name is Karl Baden.

"In the series Every Day, an ongoing and epic project, Baden has made a
photograph of his face on a daily basis since February 23, 1987. By the
opening date of this exhibition Baden will have made approximately 4,
789 photographs of his face. He has taken great care to standardize the
process using identical framing, lighting, backdrop, and film for each
picture so that the only variable is the change in his face over time.
To this end, he has refrained from changing his hairstyle, growing
facial hair, or otherwise altering his looks beyond the natural process
of aging. In describing this project Baden says, 'The impulse behind
this work comes from both curiosity and fear about four factors
affecting my life: mortality, incremental change (in this case, an
existential perversion of Minimalism), obsession (its relation to both
the psyche and art making), and the difference between trying to be
perfect and being human.' "

And in 2000, he got prostate cancer... he actually made a "video" out of
the pictures from that year... it used to be at some art exibit outside
of boston, it was really cool, and really touching, because the
soundtrack to the movie was the conversations he had with his doctor
when he heard it was cancer, the conversation he had telling his young
kid he had cancer, etc... you saw him lose his hair and stuff like that.

Id love to watch the thing but my Windows Media Player is broke as a
joke for some reason. I bought this computer a few months ago and just
found out that the guy who built it for me pirated all the software so
I cant update anything. IE is gone, WMP is gone...I can use other
players and browsers, but now I cant watch any videos from websites
because they all try to load in WMP and I dont know how to get them to
open in quicktime or realplayer. I tried calling the guy back but now
he wont answer his phone. My own fault for buying a cheap computer.
Sorry for the aside there, but if anyone knows how I can watch this
without using WMP, Id appreciate it. It would also help solve some
other issues with video on this thing. Thanks a ton guys and gals.

not sure about this video b/c it is streaming but for others that you
have on your computer, just right click and select open with and chose
the program you would like, or even better when you go to open with,
select chose program then when the dialog box opens you'll see a a
checkbox that says allways use selected program to open this kind of
file, check that, sleect quicktime or whatever and your in. Also there
is a craxk floating around bittorrent sites that will allow you to
validate your windows, if you cant find it email me and i will send it
to you. good luck

after actually reading your post(imagine that) i thought of another little
trick.

when you get to the site with the streaming video, right click on the page
and choose "view source" then scan through the text for the <embed.......>
tag there will be the filename and location of the file, you can then use
one of the other players (vlc will do it for sure) to play it. just copy and
paste the "http://location/filename.wma " (or whatever it is) into the open
file dialog in the player. sometimes theres issues with being allowed access
to the file, but most of the time you can do it..

Thanks a bunch for all of the suggestions guys. Ive been trying to
figure out what to do for a while now but Im retarded when it comes to
computers. Ill try to find the crack to validate windows but Ill def.
try to use that other player and do the "find source" thing. Much
appreciated.

I guess I am the only one who thinks that was a piece of crap?

Blink real fast if you watch it again. That makes it a little more
interesting.
