I am not sure how many of you know this little tidbit of information
concerning AC/DC bag but I will testify for you any way. I came to learn
Phish music in 1991 while playing in a band named "Fathead Minnow" One
of the songs we played was AC/DC Bag. It is quite ironic, or possible
another instance of instant idioticy that the chord progression of AC/DC
Bag is indeed A C D C F A G. Now we all know that various terms for
people of the homosexual persuasion include 'fag'. 'AC/DC' is a term
more used for bisexuals (their energy goes both ways) But I wonder why
they say AC/DC Bag instead of saying AC/DC Fag as the chord progression
seems to indicate. Obviously AC/DC bag is the electronic robot hangman
thing as told in Gamehenge, but I wonder what it's true origination is.
The fact that both of these non-heterosexual references are together in
one song's words and chords is interesting. A thread that might be
explored further....

Just so you know,

the chords to AC/DC Bag are

A-C-D-C-F-A-G

try it out!

The reason the band changed the name is because they didn't
feel right with a name like AC/DC Fag.

Hmm... is that so? Wow, you must have a direct link to the band to be able
to state that so definitively. Cool!

To me, what's really cool about these changes is that all of the chords are major tonality, and A is the fairly obvious tonic note, (hence why the A blues scale works so well over the changes).
