Wow, Phish had one of my all time favorite percussionists sit in with
them last night! Giovanni Hidalgo is a monster conga player,
multipercussionist and frequent collaborator both live and in the
studio with Mickey Hart. I have seen this dude do drum workshops, and
his hands fly so fast they become a blur at times. You should see him
play the timbales!
Can't wait to get a better listen to this set...the stream sounded
EXCELLENT but I admit, I was buzzed on rum and listening from the
other room. Trey was rockin' by the sound of it.
