So I made the mistake of checking PT to see if anyone had streams and
man why do they people still listen to Phish if they dislike/hate them
so much?

i made the same mistake last time i got drunk and got online. i bet
the average age on PT is 21, that is the big problem. boobs,drugs, and
phish hating, welcome to PT.

We need to come up with a new word for searching for streams--I spent
a good twenty minutes doing this last night + getting frustrated!

This is a great question.

I think that the answer is that they are looking for something. It may
be "escape", which Phish will provide in abundance (if you know what I
mean). It may be "human contact", which Phish will provide in
abundance (if you know what I mean {and I know that you do}). Or it
may be "self-expression" which often manifests as arguing, bickering,
sarcasm, etc. Online message boards are not the best tool for self-
expression; guitars and paint brushes work much better, but sometimes
people just pick up the same old tool that they are comfortable with
to solve the wrong problem.

And it may be something else entirely, I really have no idea--they may
just be jerks...

No--that is the future. We have been around and around on the topic of
attracting new fans, but if PT is drawing new guys into the scene,
even clueless, angry, kids--it cannot be all bad, right?

Wait. What about the games! I love Tour Tournament + Daily Dose
(which, if I have not already mentioned, I got 36 points in
yesterday!). Are their other sites that offer similar fun?

Also, are you logging onto phantasy tour during the shows? I have been
spending my time on Tweet Grid, which is this real time twitter feed
aggrigator thing:

I set up a 1X3 feed with keywords "phish", whatever the venue/city/
state happens to be (to get some real time local flavor), and "wook OR
w00k" (just to keep my eye on them in case they decide to attack again
[if you know what I mean {and I know you do}]).

The games and larger community are pluses for PT but I am told old and
have wasted FAR too much time fighting on Message Boards.

I agree, lets just say anything to get the ball rolling until we get
to the perfect phrase...how about, wetnetting or wetwebbing???
