I was listening to jimmy herring the other day and finally I realized why he doesn't appeal to me like trey does. jimmy's pedal combination creates in my ear something that I liken to an electric grinder whereas trey's tone is warm and rich no harsh after taste.

Yeah, few guitarists can get a tone like Trey's. It really is one of the best tones ever - and incredibly distinct.

Yeah he's got an analogman bicomp. I got one but I can't sound like trey. But it sounds good with a Qtron.
