If you're looking for a cool music fest in a great wooded setting this
summer, I just got the lineup for the Gathering On The Mountain at Big
Boulder Ski Resort in the Poconos. JoAnn & I went last year and had a
great time. And this year's line up looks even better. Hope to see you
there. (Note, the acts alternate between two stages, both within short
walking distance). Also, taping policy has not yet been finalized. The

2:45 pm It's A Beautiful Day (these guys were great last year)
4:00 pm The Byrds (remains to see how many original members)

7:00 pm Blue Floyd (All star group doing the music of Pink Floyd)

1:30 pm Zen Tricksters (very hot jam band)
2:45 pm The David Nelson Band (has recently released a CD thru GDM)
4:00 pm The Derek Trucks Band (yeeha!!)
5:30 pm The Radiators (these guys cranked at the New Orleans Jazz Fest)
7:00 pm Merl Saunders and His Funky Friends
8:30 pm String Cheese Incident (what a way to finish the weekend)

Hey, anyone else notice that the Gathering on the Mountain Sunday is the SAME
DAY as the Allman's at nearby Montage in Scranton? I want to see String Cheese
(among others) but I have ordered my Allman's tix. But, the Allman's show, w/
no opener scheduled (yet) is set for 4:30 p.m. on the tix. So maybe it'll be
over in time for me to see the end of the Gathering Monday? Also, Derek Trucks
I guess isn't touring w/ Allmans? Or he's playing a short set at the Gathering
at 2:45 then bolting to Scranton, or joining for 2nd Allmans set or something?

Can someone shed some light on this?
