Hello Phriends.

So I just finished burning some NYE CD's for a trade and I'm laying
in bed with my 3 year old son, Galileo, and we're reading this new
Sesame Street book that my wife brought home from the library. And
it's a pretty laid back story about big bird learning to share his
pail and shovel by making a sand castle with grover and the gang.
Galileo's getting into it and commenting on Bert's extensive bottle
cap collection. So we finish and I close the book and check out who
wrote it (being an aspiring children's book writer and all) and it's
Dina Anastasio--Trey's Mom!

To confirm my suspicions I check out the phish.net FAQ and sure
enough, she's written many children's stories and has worked on and
around Sesame Street for many years (by Mr. Hooper's old shop <g>)

In light of this epiphany, I'd like to spread some positive CD energy
around the community. I just got a 3 CD copy of the Game/Hoist show
from Mike Oravec (thanks again man!)

6/26/94 Municipal Auditorium, Charleston, WV.

No source info, but send me your list/URL if you're interested in a
trade or your most eloquent Sesame Street themed prose for a B&P.

Yep, a very cool connection, especially since the Phish guys kind of remind
me of Muppets (especially Fishman...my first response when I saw him playing
drums was "ANIMAL!!!")

When he was quite young, Trey and his mom wrote one or more songs for a
Sesame Street album. Sometime in the 1970s? I'd kill to get a copy.

I find it really amusing that the true first credit on Trey's discography
will always be an album entitled "Sing and Learn Large Motor Skills." Phish
has learned the first part...now they need to work on the second. :-)

YES!!! I have always thought the best cover song Fish could do would be the
"Manot, Manot" song from the Muppets.... C'mon... you know the one!

Manot! Manot!
Doo doo doo doo doo.....

well, that kinda, freaked me out... My high school jazz band is called "the
electric mayhem" and well, I was wondernig if you were someone from the band
or something, knew us somehow.... Anyway, I guess thats how we got our
name... Heres a nice quote from a sax player from our band
"The electric mayhem doesn't work well, WITHOUT ELECTRICITY!!!" after our
first competition, when we got no power for our guitar or bass.
