Any reason why you left out John Harbour? It seems a strange omission.

He also left out Simon Catchpole. Curious. Very curious
* especially as I shall be hearing them three times in the next week...!
Try these peopel then.
Here they are. They are what is known in the trade as the wankers who
accompany the squawkers. And probably snobs, every boy and girl of
them, to the last.
Here is a list.
If it helps (which I feel I may need to do) I believe it is called the
Metropolitan Opera Orchestra whose sound (where they manage it) you no
doubt spectacularly and faithfully reproduce in each and every one of
your recordings. Or not, as the case may be.
Kind regards,
Undoubtedly a Wanker But Certainly Not Up To Your Standard At It Except
Perhaps At Sight Reading
PS: Now do you see how many you would have to pay? Wouldn't be
economic would it?

> Who are these peopel????????????????????????????????
PS: As one of these peopel I have to read at sight, transpose at sight,
ignore the conductor who has got lost, retune into different keys while
everyone else is playing in a different key (s) and continue counting
while doing same.
You?
Kind regards,
One Of These Peopel
Personally, to use a modern phrase, I just think you a complete and
total cunt.
The sort of guy who piles out of the American Express coach at the
Tower of London and says: "Oh, my God is this the Tower of London?"
(answer: Nope, it's a plastic replica) or those who spend hours in
Dublin lining up to see the Book of Kells and when they arrive at it
say: "Oh, my God is this the Book of Kells?"
Nope, it's yet another plastic replica.
Among your opera roles have you ever attempted the Simpleton? I think
it was almost written for you. You can tranpose at sight if it helps.
Kind regards,
Alan M. Watkins
Nope, nothing as sophisticated as that.
I just think you a complete and total cunt. And probably overweight as
well.

There are other musicians hanging about, Watkins.
Even my kid can sight sing / read / transpose . . . whass that prove?
Lots of people are superlative percussionists, are you?
What they can't do is be as smug a prick as you bees.
You're the Blue Ribbon Wanker in that respect.
Charlie, while not fitting the conventional mold, is many times the man
you
wanna be, you whining schmuck.

YUPPPPPP.Truer words were never shpoken....but we are awaiting the
monthly "I am leaving" from Mr.Snobkins.....CH
1. I have no fear of expressing my limitations.
2. Many wonderful music lovers do not know music in a "technical"
sense ( i.e.sight-reading) like PINZA
3. How did I perform 50 roles with FUSSY conductors and directors????
4. If i was a language teacher...how many other careers should I have
had.
5. Fuck them....
With all respect and affection to you, I really think you could have made
the point without the comments about the poster's family, or personalizing
it that way. I think it only made things worse - you have a perfectly valid
point about what you do, and the different views will never get solved here,
but when it gets overly personalized, something different happens.
Just a thought

Usually you are quite content for the discussion to be all about you. But
when the topic is thievery you always drag Tower Records in to it. What's up
with that? This is all about you, not Tower et al.
bollman, since your comprehension of legal matters is as threadbare as
your genuine stupidity on most other matters discussed here, with the
probable exception of the contents of a latrine hole, you would be
better adviseed simply to shut the fuck up (on this and damned near
everything).
Ah, are you not aware that the <responses> are from a tiny coterie of
servile airheads and a cabal of tricksters? My sir, I alone am
responsible for 23 of them. I will not say which group I in.
Gennarino Carunchio
Excuse me?
I've posted responses a couple of times and don't consider myself to be
either servile, an airhead or a trickster. (Just happy to hear some
recordings of lovely basses.)

As someone who does do his own broadcasts, I'd like to offer a
dissenting opinion. When you offer your work to the public (and
perhaps even make a point of inviting people to sample it), you're
agreeing to subject yourself to the public's opinions. Much the same
way Osie Hawkins, James McCracken, or the panelists on the Met Quiz
subject(ed) themselves to the public's opinions. Some may be critical
because they are nasty, some may be jealous, and some may be critical
(even harshly so) because of flaws in the person's work. But in any
event, I don't think you need to actually do broadcasts or sing on the
stage of the Met in order to offer strong criticisms of those who do.
A dear friend of mine once said: "This business is not for the faint of
heart."
Best,
Ken
The point for me is that not every comment is 'criticism', much less strong
criticism - there may be no way to control it, but there's certainly no
reason to necessarily respect stalking or uninformed opinion.
