Hi All,

I was just wondering if there are other
people (like me) who would love to
see more scores by TV Composer
Morton Stevens released on CD?

It's great to see that there will be
a score from FSM's "Man From UNCLE"
release - "The Double Affair".
I hope there will be more!

How about it?

Hi All,

How about it?

HG >>

At the moment there is only ONE Morton Stevens full score CD available, which
is for the action film ACT OF PIRACY on PROMETHUES RECORDS.

It would be nice if a full score CD could be made of the original soundtrack
recordings of his scores to HAWAII 5-0.

All good things come to those who wait.

Hi,

I have the ACT OF PIRACY CD.
You're right, his HAWAII 5-0
scores would be a great CD release.
Perhaps, a CD featuring music from
the CBS pilot movie or the last
episode, "Woe To Wo Fat".
Also, some of his work for
"Gunsmoke" was great.
He wrote a nice score to a
Jerry Lewis film many years,
called "Hardly Working" from
20th Century Fox - another
possible CD release.

He is one composer who is so
under-represented on CD.
I find it surprising, considering
Stevens has worked and arranged
music for Jerry Goldsmith -
("The Masada Score")

More Morton - please!

Indeed. Now there's a TC show whose music needs releasing. The closet
you can get today is on one of the Silva compilations which is 5 minutes
long.

That's very interesting - how did you
find out about this? Is this something
that is available somewhere?

I remember many of the scores that you
mentioned - "Wheels" was a great
mini-series. Many of these scores
would make great CD releases.

Please tells us more about the
Stevens' demo tape.

More Morton!

Time Travellers? The 1974 Irwin Allen movie. Loved the music from that

Yes, TIME TRAVELERS was
Morton's music. Actually, it was
a 1976 TV movie/pilot.

Another great Morton Stevens' score
was his music from the TV Mini-series,
MANIONS OF AMERICA (1981)
starring a young Pierce Brosnan.

BACKSTAIRS AT THE WHITE HOUSE

was also a great Mini-series and
score by Stevens.

Bring on the CD releases!
More Morton!

To All:
Morton Stevens also scored another Irwin Allen project, it was the
"Alice In Wonderland" mini-series. Check that, he also wrote the theme
for the short-lived series, "Code Red".

I remember "Alice In Wonderland".
Steve Allen wrote all of the songs
for the 1985 Irwin Allen production,
but Stevens composed the score
and the arrangements of Allen's
songs for the four-hour mini-series.

Also, there was "Outrage" (1986),
another Irwin Allen TV movie.
This was a fantastic court room
drama, BTW.

Happy New Year All! -

I spent a good part of the day
watching a "Hawaii Five-0"
marathon. They showed ALL
of the "Wo Fat" episodes from
the series. Among them:
"The 90-Second War",
"Nine Dragons" and

"Woe To Wo Fat".

These episodes featured some
great Morton Stevens' music.
Hey Record Labels -
are you reading this?

Considering how prolific Morton Stevens was, it's surprising there's not more music out there. I did find these…
