Voh-check Kee-lahr. At least, that's how one of our exchange students
from Poland pronounced it. From what he said, his father was real good
friends with Wojciech, and they got to see him preform several times.
Lucky fellas!

I'm not too sure about how Mr. Poledouris may pronounce his last name
personally since everyone is entitled to pronounce their last name the way
they learned it as a child, but the correct pronunciation is
"Pol-e-door-ree". A friend of mine whose last name is LePage, which should
be pronounced "Le Paahge" pronounces it "Le Payge". Chacon a sou gout!

Do you happen to know whether it's stressed, FEE-dell (as the German
word for 'fiddle' is pronounced, which I assume to be his name's
origin) or Fee-DELL (like the famous smoker)?
Oliver.
FEE-del, as far as I know.

I check only once in a while.
I am made out of water. You wouldn't know it, because I have it bound
in. My friends are made out of water, too. All of them. The problem for
us is that not only do we have to walk around without being absorbed by
the ground but we also have to earn our livings.

The latter, as far as I know.

From what I've been able to tell, from speaking with his agent, it's
pronounced "Fye-DELL" (like "eye")....
